Jim Levitt joined the leadership team of Harvest Ev. Free April 1, 2009. Before joining our team, Jim served Evangelical Free churches in Minnesota and North Dakota. He did his undergraduate studies at UNI in Cedar Falls, and completed his M Div. at Trinity Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Jim and Marsha have been married 30 years, and are the parents of one son, Ian, who lives in Fargo, North Dakota.

Things I’m Thankful For: The mercy and grace of God who brought me to himself; the wisdom, love and balance that Marsha brings into my life; the opportunity to help lead people to life and maturity in Jesus; and the opportunity to grow as a husband, father, and disciple of Christ.  

I Enjoy: Spending time with Marsha, connecting with my son Ian, friends, reading, photography, golf, and upgrading computers.  

Favorite Movies/TV: Lord of the Rings, Bourne Trilogy, Cars, Hogan’s Heroes, Chronicles of Narnia.

Favorite Music Groups/CDs: 4Him and Twila Paris.

I Hope To Someday: Lead a study tour to Israel, mentor disciples who impact the entire globe, enjoy the autumn colors in New England, learn how to take great photographs.

Some Favorite Books Read: David Wells’ The Courage to be Protestant,  Henry Blamires’ The Christian Mind, J.P. Moreland’s Love Your God with All Your Mind, Ravi Zacharias’ Jesus Among Other Gods, and Nancy Pearcy’s Total Truth.

Favorite Verses: Ezra 7:10: “For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.”
